The School Curriculum

The School – a co-educational institution offers instruction to students from Play school to Class XII. The medium of instruction is English with special emphasis to Spoken English. The School follows NCERT syllabus under the CBSE stream. In Kinder Garten, children are prepared to face formal education by introducing the basics of languages and Mathematics under the caring guidance of specialized teachers. In the primary section puplls are taught the principles of languages, Arithmetic, General Science, Social Science and Computer Science. The academic programme in the junior section is enriched with creative writing, surveys, experiments, projects and other activities. On the whole, the school follows a 'Child Centered Education Policy' which makes learning an exciting and enjoyable experience.

Admission

The school admit students from Play school to Class XII, without any discrimination of caste, creed, religion or sex. Children below the prescribed age limit will not be admitted. Children who complete UKG from the school are automatically admitted to Class 1. For admission to higher classes application should be submitted in the prescribed form which can be obtained from the school office on payment of Rs.250. Registration for admission for an academic year starts in January of the previous academic year. Students will be admitted only after proper screening and personal interview.

At the time of admission the following documents should be produced.

Three passport size photographs
Original birth certificate with a Photostat copy
Transfer certificate ( for classes above 1)
Copy of the UID

Computer Education

Having understood the growing challenges in the field of education, the school is determined to equip the students with the latest technologies. The classes are supported by computer education and audio-visual teaching aids.

Examinations

The school follows the "Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation" (CCE) as directed by the Central Board of Secondary Education. A cumulative account of the performances in the various examinations in an year, is taken in to consideration for promotion to the higher class.

House System

Students of the school are divided in to four houses – Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire and Topaz. All competitions such as sports, arts, debates, quiz, display and others are conducted on house basis.

Yoga

For physical well being and emotional maturity yoga classes are offered to all students in the school.

Scouts and Guides

Syndesmos Public School, Parumala is recognised as one of the Scouts & Guides Unit .It will be functioning under the control and guidance of HSG & Central Ministry. Scouting is a movement to uplift and support young minds physically, mentally, socially and emotionally. Creating a new future for a New India.

Band

School has a well equipped and trained band troup.

Clubs

To nurture the hidden skills and talents of each child various clubs such as Quiz club, Nature club, Music Club, Math's club, Social Science club and Literary club are functioning in the school. It is compulsory that every student should be a member of any one of these clubs. In addition, guest faculty is arranged by the school to teach dance, music, art and craft and painting.

Transport Facility

School buses ply on specified routes providing ample transporation facility to the students. The children are picked up from the boarding points fixed by the school. An amount fixed by the management is collected every month as conveyance charge.
